Help

  1. I haven't used the ishop centre before, how do I order a download ?

It’s easy, simply select your desired course from our products page, and pay through the PayPal checkout, you will then immediately receive an automated e-mail with details of your download, select the download file as requested and save this onto your computer. Wait for your course to finish downloading and you can begin with your language learning.

  2. I am not re-directed to the Paypal payments site for my MP4 preloaded player order, why?

For our MP4 player orders we do not take payment via PayPal as this product requires delivery and unlike the downloadable courses is not instantly available. Payment is taken through our secure Linguaphone.co.uk e-commerce checkout, just as it would if you were ordering via our www.linguaphone.co.uk website.

  3. How much storage space do I need to store a download file?

The download files will not take up much space on your hard drive, you will only need about 400mb of disk space to store your download, and around 512mb of free space to extract the initial zip file. You will also need an MP3/MP4 player with at least 400mb of free disk space.

  4. Will my download be compatible with my MP3/MP4 player?

Our downloads are .mp3 files which is the industry standard file format for MP3 downloads. Therefore there should not be any compatibilty issues. If you are not sure what files your MP3/MP4 player supports please check with the manufacturer. For more information on the system technical requirements please visit our Requirements page.

  5. How long does a download take?

We are unable to quote a specific time for a download, as this will be dependent on the speed of your internet connection. Each download file is 400mb and contains 16 hours worth of material, therefore please ensure that you allow plenty of time to complete the download in full.

  6. Can I stop the download at anytime?

No, unfortunately not - Each download grants you a temporary licence, which expires once the download is complete. If you do experience any problems whilst trying to download your file, such as internet connection breakages or power failures, please contact our customer services team on: ebay@linguaphone.co.uk

  7. Can I download more than one course at a time?

Yes you can, but please ensure that you have sufficient space on your computer for the files, and also on your MP3/MP4 player.

  8. Are these downloads compatible with my computer?

It does not matter whether you have a PC or a MAC as long as you have an internet connection and enough storage space for the files. Your pc should have a media player installed within it that can play MP3 files, or you can open these files into manufacturers MP3/4 software interface.

  9. I have clicked open instead of save. How can I retrieve my download?
  10. Your download should be stored in your browser’s temporary internet files. Their location will differ depending on your browser settings. If you are using Firefox you should be able to locate your download by selecting the tools option on the navigation bar and then downloads from the drop down list. If you are using internet explorer you can check this by selecting the tools option, navigating to the internet options tab and then select settings. This should display where your temporary downloads are stored. Please note that this does depend on how your browser is configured some browsers have a limit to the size of file stored in the temporary location so the download may be too large to store and therefore be automatically deleted. If you have any questions regarding this please contact our customer services team on: ebay@linguaphone.co.uk

  11. Does Linguaphone have a recycling policy?

Yes, the Linguaphone Group strongly believes in recycling products to help preserve our environment. To highlight this we are a supporter of the government’s WEE-DTB (Waste, Electrical and Electronic Equipment Distributor Take-Back) initiative and follow the government’s guidelines on the disposal of used electrical equipment.

All electrical and electronic equipment placed on to the market must be marked with the wheelie bin symbol (displayed below) to indicate that it is covered by the WEE-DTB directive. This includes the Linguaphone’s range of allTalk MP4 players.

In support of this directive, and as the producer and distributor of Linguaphone’s allTalk MP4 player, we will make arrangements for the recycling of this product. So if you purchase a Linguaphone allTalk MP4 player from us, and wish to responsibly dispose of your old MP4 player, please contact our customer services team on ebay@linguaphone.co.uk and we will arrange for the collection and disposal of your MP4 player.

Alternatively if you wish to recycle the item yourself please visit www.recycle-more.co.uk for more information.
